Solar reflective glass does work and we can prove it, but not always enough. When we were asked to visit and assist in making this conservatory cooler, we start by checking the glass with our meter kit to see how the glass is performing without film and to just make sure the glass is compatible to accept solar film. At this job the glare and additional heat problems that the 'active glass' couldn't deal with was causing dismay to the owners. This roof did have some good solar energy rejection when we checked it but still not enough according to the customer. We started out with samples attached to the roof, leaving them with the customer to try out in different daylights, so as to make the correct final choice before fitting took place. The films come in various colours and shades and do reject different amounts of glare and heat. The photos show untreated and completed film installation. It's now ready for the summer sun and perfect for those lazy days!
