A lot of glass certainly can give you that feeling of open space. The downside is that when the sun does shine it can really turn your room into an oven and cause a glare problem. When we were initially called in to discuss the problem it was quite obvious to see that it would need something to address the problem. A lot of blinds and curtain companies don't want to deal with raked windows as the wiring and tracks can make it a very cluttered finish. Window film is the obvious answer and a minimalistic answer without the need for much maintenance unlike blinds and curtains. Initially, we said we would do the top row of glass with a view to putting something lighter on the lower windows in time if the problems was still there. The Dual 10V film blocks 90% light, with a glare reduction of 90% and heat reduction in the region of nearly 40% depending on the glass construction.

How can window film help at home?

Window film is fitted for practical and aesthetic reasons. Frosted and reflective window films offer privacy and security, particularly for windows with a public facing aspect or where they are overlooked.

Costs are based on the type of film, the number of windows and more specifically the surface area of the glass to be covered. If you provide us with rough measurements we can provide you with an approximate cost.

Site survey

Depending on the complexity of the installation, it may be necessary to inspect the working area for potential issues before we start. Tinting Express will take the time to explain the options and test the glass for suitability.
