It’s been a long time for us to take this leap into ‘supply only’, the reason being if you’ve never attempted fitting film especially to curved glass, take a look at the You Tube videos and get an insight into the techniques and tools you’ll need to carry out an install. If you are in any doubt pay a professional or competent person to do it, especially if you’re looking for a quality finish.

The Privacy / Factory 20% grade is a great light level and our biggest selling film. For those who don’t want complete privacy, in that it provides enough glare reduction for children sitting in back seats without them feeling too closed in. The 5% grade (limo) tint is darker and mainly used in situations where items in the vehicle need to be kept out of sight, such as people and work tools. Both these films reduce the heat and ultraviolet light, helping to protect the skin and make the journey more comfortable. Good for dog owners by keeping the car cooler.

35% grade The film that provides an aesthetic change to the glass at the rear of the car and is generally for that purpose only. However, it does provide 99% UV filtering like its 5% & 20% partners along with less heat rejection. But being lighter in shade is not so effective glare wise or for creating privacy.

Good glare reduction for back seat passengers achieved with 5 – 20% grades. 35% grade mainly used for aesthetic look.

**Not to be installed on the front door windows or glass forward of the driver of any vehicle, except for sunstrips.**

A5 sample is a ‘try before you buy service’ so that you can confirm this is the correct film for you before you purchase larger amounts. This sample will come with a descriptive label on it and is intended for test purposes only, not for use.

Tinted vehicle windows: the law
The rules for tinted front windscreens and front side windows depend on when the vehicle was first used. There are no rules for tinting the rear windscreen or rear passenger windows.

Vehicles first used on 1 April 1985 or later
The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through.

Vehicles first used before 1 April 1985
The front windscreen and front side windows must both let at least 70% of light through.

Penalties for having wrongly tinted windows
It’s illegal to fit or sell glass (or a vehicle already fitted with glass) that breaks the rules on tinted windows.

The police or the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) vehicle examiners use light measuring equipment to measure window tint.

If your windscreen or front side windows are tinted too much you could get:

a ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you have the extra tint removed
a penalty notice or court summons
